For years I searched for an Interceptor and with the help from Andy at Appleyard we found a range of good, bad and sadly rather ugly, but we did finally find a great one.
However things change and I now wish to sell my Jensen, it is a great car that Andy knows inside and out, so if you want to find out anymore I'm sure he would be happy to assist, however what I can tell you is the following:
- 59,000 miles
- Original colour of Tangerine orange
My understanding of the history prior to me:
- Full ground up nuts and bolts restoration including bare metal paint approx 10 years ago
- The vehicle was then poorly stored for a number of years before being sold
- Recommissioned including mechanical overall approx 4 years ago including sills, Eldridge carb, stainless steel exhaust and a bare metal paint job back to the factory orange
- Bills from Martin Robey running into many many thousands
I have owned the vehicle for over 2 years to realise a dream since childhood and the first thing I did was to send it to Appleyard Jensen specialist who completed the following:
- Major service
- New manifold
- Rear suspension
- Ignition barel
- Full inspection of the underside and wax oil
- New steering column and rack
- Electronic ignition and auto choke
- Electrical work
Following this I have also had the following done:
- New interior from a Jensen specialist including seats front and rear, door cards and carpets
- New vinyl roof
- Door seals
- Brake refurb including master cylinder
- New radiator, cooling system and electric fans
- New tyres
- Basically anything that has been required
- Serviced approx 50 miles ago

Always been dry stored in a heated garrage and extremely well looked after
The history file is extremely extensive including photo evidence of restoration and bills equating to tens of thousands of pounds. In the last two years I would estimate that I have approaching £20,000

I’m a little vague on the exact dates of the restoration but it is all in the history file, I also have coming from Martin Robey Jensen the original build spec and order.

Asking price is £45,000 ONO

Any questions just ask
