Re: Interceptor Mk 1
35 (I think) LHD MK1 Interceptors recorded on the survivors website.

Re: Interceptor Mk 1
I have 35 showing as surviving although a number of those were advise to me when I started the survivors site so may not be survivors. However, in the last 5 years, my spreadsheet shows that I have recorded 18 of them. See http://www.joc.org.uk/Interceptor_Mk_1/ ... tions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On the revamped site '117' cars now have a green background and those that I have on the list either have a location or have a photo that links to the page and then album for that car.

Re: Interceptor Mk 1
Probably easier to buy a rhd car and convert it.
Re: Interceptor Mk 1
Or better yet, buy it and keep it RHD. I find it no problem at all with the C-V8 here in Switzerland.JamesE wrote:Probably easier to buy a rhd car and convert it.

Re: Interceptor Mk 1
There is no reason for LHD in Germany.
Mine are all RHD - except one.

I own some of the odd Jensen
Re: Interceptor Mk 1
Im bad..What i meant to say..Is their where 78 LHD MK1 Produced..With 32 motorised chassis and another 45 build at the Jensen factory which are the better in my opinion . And another LHD was produced with a manual transmission...My car is the Non Motorised chassis..One of only three in the USA and I belive only 12 in the world..
Re: Interceptor Mk 1
You did notice the thread in For Sale, Britarms is selling his Mk1? The advert says it comes with original style wheels too.
He didn't mention he was selling an LHD Mk1 Interceptor!! Britarms I guess it is safe to say you don't work in advertising, or if you do you take a break on here!
I would agree with Felix though, RHD is not a problem abroad, it even makes things a little more fun at times.
There is a Mk1 RHD for sale which is running nicely MOT etc but needs work. There have also been some Mk1 projects on ebay UK, RHD, £10k+.

Re: Interceptor Mk 1
Until you reach a toll road with pay booths or a car park where you need to take a ticket, or simply wish to drive on the side of the car you're used to driving on as per the norm for your country, or you've simply never driven a RHD car and don't fancy it.johnw wrote: I would agree with Felix though, RHD is not a problem abroad

Toll roads are easy - get a wireless pass for the countries you are going to - generally cheap enough and save a lot of waiting.
