PW for sale

Post by mikebyrne »

At long last and after much thought,I am parting with my Jensen PW.
This PW ,chassis no. 10 is one of only six left in the World that we know of.
Current mileage is only 44,634 from new.
This car was last on the road in the 1980's when I drove it for just a few miles.
I found that the steering was surprisingly light for a car of its size, lighter than
most 541's in fact.
This PW had had a massive restoration over the past years and is one of the
most original that you will find, second perhaps to the most original one, in Belgium,
in the Mahy museum.
There are just a handful of minor jobs to complete now and I hope to finish them
in the next two to three months.
The car is complete with original log book and owners handbook/lifting jack/
starting handle/
and tools.
There is also numerous spares that go with the car such as gasket sets /fuel pump
/distributor/carburettors,including one NOS new boxed carb./ gearbox rubber mountings/engine mounts and more.
This car has the Austin Princess/Sheerline manual gearbox and the Austin Princess/
Sheerline engine, same as the 541 series but this has only one carburetter, the same set-up
as the Early 4 litre Interceptor. Therefore servicing is easy and spares are still available.
I am looking for offers in excess of £150,000.
Complete photographic record of all restoration details.
Interested parties please PM me.

Best of luck with the sale, Mike. An almost unique car that will make someone very proud. Sad to think this will leave you Jensen-less after a lifetime of 6-cylinder Jensens.

I would also exchange the car with a near perfect 541, 541R or S manual with cash adjustment.

Hi Grant, don't get me wrong, the 541S with the auto box is a very good comfortable car, I drove one back and forwards to London from Suffolk, many times in the 80's and never had any problems with it, but the manual box S would be an improvement of around an extra 10 mpg.
