Interceptor 1 in Qld
Interceptor 1 in Qld
Not for the faint hearted; a big job but compared to some of the rusted out hulks that have been advertised for eye watering money a relative walk in the park...

Re: Interceptor 1 in Qld
No vent in the c-pillar, anyone know the chassis number? Could this be a Vignale car?

I wouldn't have thought it a Vignale car if it had a C series 383, originally.

INT 2865
This is 2865, well documented down under. There was another claim to the 2865 identity in the UK, on ebay in November 2016 and the JOF in July 2017.

And we never did get to the bottom of it ... That was the one that had the dodgy wheel nut for sale .. As you said Richard ... I have it listed as scrapped/ in storage. The original 60 photos are still on this link https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/197 ... c-5838.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING I PUBLISH; I HAVE CORRECTED THE ERROR - I think
see later posts but 115/2865 is in Australia (Queensland) and 115/2685 is/was in America.

Re: INT 2865
Am I the only one to notice an apparent mixup of numbers? Richard states the car of this thread is 2865, the car referred to on the beverly hills car club link is 2685. It doesn't appear we're talking about the same car. Was there a different claim to the 2865 identity?RAP72 wrote:Richard Calver wrote:This is 2865, well documented down under. Really Steve? I presume that you copied and pasted the email from the seller which states:
68 not 86The VIN number is (115/2685).
Here's a link to our website with over 60+ photos of this vehicle,

Please let me know if you have any other questions,

Yes Really
On the LIST PAGE I think I had pointed the hyperlink for the Australian Car (2865) to the American page (2685). I am now creating a page for the Australian Car (2865).
All I had before was that 2865 was in storage in Victoria so, as there were no photos or details, I think I just recorded the chassis number on the List page and inadvertently hyperlinked it to 2685. I hope that is clear

Re: Interceptor 1 in Qld
In the 60 odd photos the only good part looks like the excellent fit of the rear hatch, but it now appears missing, I hope it is still with the car, as the restorer will have to work hard to get close to that fit again.
