Formerly the property of "Travelling Wilbury" who apparently has now gone travelling permanently and has sold/is selling all his cars off.

If anyone wants some buckets of rusty metal, I can let you have them for free.

Would love to see this back on the road again, but looks quite far gone.

Back on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1970-JENSEN-I ... SwcklZk1PA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The engine bay is complete and pretty rust free. The result of being protected by a fibreglass bonnet.
The rest of it is absolutely fooked

Re: FF 127/272 on sale on ebay
If you look at the bids on the first auction and click on bidders their abridged user names do not match the name clicked on - anybody know why?

Re: FF 127/272 on sale on ebay
If you look at the bidders on both listings, there are some very odd things going on. For example, the winning bidder at the moment has a history of bidding on 9 different items during the last 30 days - all of which are being sold by this seller. A couple of the bidders on the previous listing had a history of bidding on several of this seller's items too...

Re: FF 127/272 on sale on ebay
The top bidder on the FF is also the current top bidder on the BMW from the same seller and the Fiat 500 from the same seller having run the bids up from £4100 to £10k.mojo wrote:If you look at the bidders on both listings, there are some very odd things going on. I don't really care what this seller gets up to with his deals whether they are grubby or clean. What I think we should all be concerned about is the distortion of values created as a result. If enough people see this wreck "sold" for £14k when its true worth is currently seen as a lesser figure, where does that leave us? Better/worse off? Discuss!
Re: FF 127/272 on sale on ebay
Shill bidding as this practice is known by, both distorts values of items and is also illegal. These are not my words and the description below is straight from the web site involved
"Shill bidding is when someone known by the seller—such as a family member, friend, roommate, employee, or online connection—bids on an item to artificially increase its price, desirability, or search standing.
Shill bidding isn't allowed on eBay. Members who shill bid may have restrictions placed on their account.
While buyers can't bid on an item if they're linked to the seller, they can use the Buy It Now option if it’s available.
If you think someone is shill bidding, please contact us."

...and 24 hours later the shill bidder is still there, bidding away. What's the point of saying "contact us" if they don't do anything about it? I fully accept that there are lots of cases where it's not clear whether someone is shill bidding or not - but this is not unclear, it's blatant.SRD wrote: If you think someone is shill bidding, please contact us."
