541S Restoration project for sale - now sold

Hi, we have been asked to advertise a 541S auto for sale. Chassis 100/S1090, registration 969 FEA. We have not seen the car, but its looks to be mostly complete, with good original interior, unknown chassis condition and poor paintwork. The car was apparently last on the road in the mid 1990s. The asking price is £18000, car is located near Bournemouth (England - South Coast). Please get in touch with us by email or PM if you are interested.

Nice interior, hopefully to be rescued rather than retrimmed. The exterior was originally grey, which fits in with today's trends.

Those wheel trims had me imagining for a moment that it was fitted with genuine Porsche Fuchs wheels from the 1960s. Actually, that's a lie.

I notice this car, 1090, has the frontal electric fans. Was this a factory option, or do all later cars have this....

Our car, chassis 1061 had frontal fans. The brackets are still in place and I have the motors but not the blades should I wish to reinstate them.

We have just heard that this car has been sold. Thanks to all those who expressed interest in the car.

It achieved a good price and is going to an appropriate new custodian who plans to retain the car's originality as an unspoilt reference for the future.

Ps, in addition to Chris Stearn's 541 project that is already advertised, we are expecting to be asked to advertise a 541r project on the forum sometime in the next few weeks.
