1975 Red Int Convertible on Ebay

Post by Robinson D »

Familiar car, can't find the old link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Jensen-G80 ... 2534881593" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Same car also offered here by Hyman in St. Louis:

https://classics.autotrader.com/classic ... /100762813" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The eBay pictures are older than the Auto Trader pictures. Something fishy here.

I had a comment on this issue on Apr. 1, 2017 and Hyman Ltd. has later confirmed they have the car and would contact Ebay.
Also think this is a repeat as same address was posted when selling a dark blue convertible that later turned up with dealer in the Netherlands!

Could this be Sinatra's car that was for sale a few months back?

No this is not "Old Blue eyes" car but from CT - Lower Fairfield

Also I believe all of his cars were triple black.

Hyman Ltd. St Louis confirms that 2311-1623 is their car. Secondly, it has been listed by them for almost a year.

The seller in MA has confirmed that the VIN of the car in the ad is 2311-1623

Conclusion is that this recently posted ad is a hoax or do we have two red 2311-1623

Here is an earlier attempt in 2017 to sell this car under false flag!

And the results are in:

https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0817-30003 ... nvertible/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sold at USD 40k - Must be seen as well below par in view of presented estimate. Also far from current asking by other sellers

The red car in the Ebay ad is not the same car as the red Mecum car. Sure looks like someone got themselves a bargain at 40K!! Funny there were no convertibles that left the factory in red!!

Both ads are concerning # 2311-1623 - Mecum and Ebay.

Some changes over the years deleting the red engine decor from earlier owner.

However Ebay was a fake seller as Hyman has had the car for close to 2 years

I can't see the Ebay car anymore. The Fast muscle cars article about the Sinatra car and the Mecum auction car are different cars though. What am I not seeing here?

The Ebay - G80 car and the Mecum car is the same car. Chassi number the same as confirmed by the sellers independently.

The fast muscle car is another red car, but as written before all Frank Sinatra´s Jensen cars were according to legend triple black.

BTW, another convertible will be up for grabs in France in September by Bonham. Estimate set at EUR 80-100 000.

For that coin you’d think they’d at least straighten up the switches. Detail detail. This isn’t a 20 k banger. Tho the exhausts are curious at best.
