This is 104/2202

At least 6 owners and it has been off the road for a lot longer than a year or two (possibly 8 or 9 years, blown core plugs meant it couldn't be used). It's got a rusty back bumper, a Mk111 C-V8 front bumper, one hub cap is missing and one has lost it's Jensen badge centre, an internal door handle is missing, one wing and door have been damaged when a door check failed (this is how it was when sold to the dealer, I don't know what the dealer has done to it as there are no exterior shots, except the one taken from a distance, and no details of any work that they may have done). On the plus side, the side beams were done many years ago but it's had little use since, the gearbox was overhauled, though it leaks slightly, the front seats were refurbished and the engine bay detailed at some point, though perhaps it is not so good now. It was also garaged in Spain since 2001 and has just been repatriated (it is still UK registered).

Potentially it is a nice car but I think it is over priced by quite a margin.

I note there is a S111 on Ebay. Located at Birminham (is that near where Rocky lives?) described as best in UK and never to be repeated. Only pics are of an engine removed and some springs?? 25K. Is this a scam? Says long time member. No other details. Kenny38 8)

The C-V8 is now on eBay and bid up to £16,100 but reserve not met, not surprising when the classified ad price was £45,000, still 9 days to go though.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JENSEN-CV8-BL ... Sw2gxYybtL" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The ad says it runs well so perhaps the core plug issue has been resolved (the last owner replaced them but when the block was air tested one plug leaked, at which point the owner gave up as he didn't want to take the engine out, or didn't think he could take the engine out, to get at the plugs properly).

I just checked the seller's web-site, the price is £49,995 and here is the page description:

http://www.villiersclassics.com/cars/je ... 8/118161/0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"CV 8 Jensen presented in Blue with red Hide, a particularly nice motor car with good provenance................this fine motor car is currently having a routine service and MOT ready for it's new owner. A very rare car now, this example has covered less than 85000 miles and has been very well cared for. We are expecting this vehicle to be ready for sale by mid March, please call to discuss and possibly reserve....."

That's an Interceptor. Sale now ended as it's lost or broken.
This post is about a C-V8.
Are you just trying to confuse everybody?

You've obviously picked up the local accent, Kenny.

At my relatively advanced age I am entitled to confuse anyone I like because no one expects very much from me.In fact nobody expects anything at all and to quote Mr Baldwin " nothing really matters very much at all" I think it was Baldwin.... may have been McDonald. I thought that a S3 advertised as best in........25K would excite some comment.
I have heard the working class Brummy spoken by a backpacker on my property and was appalled when he said it was genuine and not a stage accent to make people laugh. AH1951 I have had your house bugged. So far very &^%$ boring. One of my dogs has taken another 2 chickens from neighbour who has Tourettes and in full mode vastly entertaining. It rained today. I did a double take on the price, that equates at current exchange rate of $1.25 to a UK sterling price of £62,800.

Ahh, I missed the key point, the price includes 50% contribution towards shipping costs from Gainsborough, England

Yes it's rare, but not as rare as the cars in the background of the period shot are now:

That's a Mk2 Escort estate, mostly rusted away now, and a Lancia Trevi - a car so rare in this country that I'd forgotten it ever existed!
