Mentioned here as the first owner being Richard Marsh. http://www.joc.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9504" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For sale at 19,995 pounds in 2010.

I wonder if that's the same guy who was Chairman of British Rail at a very young age?

...a long way from the recent asking price of £125,000!
I'm still a little miffed as to why the colour change in this day and age of classics needing to be as original as possible to realise their full price potential even if the car was originally pink with green stripes!!

My opinion is because its probably period wrong shade for early 70ties. Dark blue metallic (just THIS shade of current FF), or cherry metallic were very popular colors in the end of 80ties-beginning of 90ties. At the top of previous classic car market boom. Many classic vehicles were restored in this color, regardless the fact it was not very common in the sixties.

Again, nobody are scared by british racing green on Jaguar XK120, silver metallic on Porsche 356 or california sage green on Jensen FF, even if its not original factory paint for particular vehicle.

And another thing, I afraid price rise for FF was too sharp -
from 19.990 in 2010 to 125.000 in 2015 for particularly same car (no significant investments mentioned during this period) - its 160 000 eur. For 70ties closed body GT.

For anyone who wants to buy an FF (or Interceptor) and enjoy using it in summer, or on long trips,
the provision of A/C has to be a major consideration, and puts the Mk I models at a big disadvantage.
In the 70s, most motorists didn't even know what A/C was. They thought it meant 240V at 50 Hz.
Perceptions have changed now. Car A/C is commonplace. It greatly reduces driver fatigue.
Of course, if all you want to do is keep the car for display, or as an investment, A/C doesn't matter much.

The A/C drains power and adds weight- much nicer to drive in shorts, barefoot, windows open (for those who don't have a sunroof). Ok, maybe not the ideal attire when heading for a business meeting or a wedding.

I saw how Rejen fitted air conditioner on Mk1 for customer`s order. There is room under bonnet for fitting compressor, so no problem with this.
For me, Mk1 will always have big advantage over Mk2-3 because its design is more 60ties than 70ties, also I like it interior with central switch panel, rostyles etc. But again - different people might have different opinions.

I think MkI's have come into their own in the last few years. The purest form of Interceptor/FF. Also with the footwell vents you get a good amount of cool air around your ankles in the hot weather...(as long as your moving !).

Regarding air conditioner - it became optional on the very many US cars in the middle of fifties (for example, all Buick has it as option) and in the middle of sixties it was optional on the most of European middle class cars - I owned /8 mercedes 450S which had this etc. Not all motorists ordered it, thats true. but it was definitely known to the most of people.

I know when Ferrari provide their factory certification (Classiche) they will do so even if the colour has changed from the factory painted colour. But Only if the new colour was also available and was used at the time of build.

California Sage by the way, was an original paint colour used by Jensen at the factory in the 60's.
