1963 C-V8 in Hamburg

Mk 1 repainted etc, but no mention of body-off restoration as far as I can see; £60,000. Will be interesting to see if it sells at that price. Chassis number?

Hello Jens,
I can`t switch off the influence of Jensens despite CV8 ownership for 40 years till 2012.
I checked this MkI in Hamburg here but I had no "Bauchgefühl" (stomach feeling ?) for it.
So I will look out for a CV8 MkIII and in the meantime I will use my Pininfarina Spider or
my Käfer Convertible.

You need to have it before buying something as important as a Jensen!

It´s true. In 1972 I dicussed with Gerd H. Schäfer (GHS, Jensens main dealer in Germany) what to buy: an Interceptor, called Big Berta no.2 or the C-V8 MkIII.
The answer was clear. My gut feeling said "go for the CV8".

that`s a nice offer.
Turicum is one of my favorite cities, perhaps no 2 after Venice.
In former years I visited Zürich very often and discussed with Peter Ottenheimer
in his shop Rindermarkt no 3? opposite the "Bauamt" He was the most famous expert for tin toys.
Let`s check the situation in April/May.
