That's right: if you can get it down, you can have it.

This would appear to be chassis number 165/2005. I recall that it was purchased new by a JOC member and registered OEN 74. There is an article in an old JOC magazine from 1987 about the owner collecting it from the factory on a Saturday morning and driving it back down South. What a lot of car for the money. It would be interesting to establish how much this vehicle cost in 1987 and then by factoring in inflation estimate how much that sum would be these days. I'm sure it would be a frightening figure.

Its probably got the 5 litre truck engine.

I've never heard of that engine. Chrysler?
Any comments on it? What sort of power and torque?

Chrysler supplied 360 cubic inch (5.9 litre) which used more modern controls to reduce emissions comparatively and still produce about 230 hp.

Ref to issue 227 for 1st hand account.
A well know car & a very good reason for the unusual colour combo.
We custodians of the 'uber rare' generally have the bill of sale & they all seem to vary!

Similar car for 5K less, just think the S4 should be at least 10K more baring in mind it's low mileage and originality.

My talking up the price as you put it wont alter the price at all, I do after all have the right to an opinion, especially as I actually own a Jensen.

The Godin Banks wasn't all that brilliant and was a left hooker so that's why the price was low even though it was a proper Jensen.
