I don't think the USA 'Bring a Trailer' auction website has a UK variant, and its equivalents here like collecting cars and the market rarely do Jensens any great favours, nor do very many auctions come to that.

It now being 18 months since the original thread start date, I would very much hope the car has been exercised periodically since the initial great appraisal shown at the thread start.

Just for my own better understanding, are those GKN wheels period correct?

Most original (standard) Mk 2 I've seen have the chrome Rostyle wheels, was there an option ex works?

GKN alloys are not period correct for a MK2. As you rightly say, they should be Rostyles.

At least they are Jensen wheels...and we can probably forgive the departures from original spec. and all upgrades. Time to overlook the fuel injection, the later air cleaner, the cooling fans, the washer bottle and plug leads. Still a nice looking car and hopefully it sells to an appreciative buyer this time at what is £50k less than the asking price a few years back.

(edit: I agree Peter with the comment above. I have removed the photo I attached, which is a duplicate of one already in the thread. Edit edit, not possible to remove the photo, but it is a nice one so giving up :D )

Well done Doug for keeping it, not dumping it in an auction, and making it known that it is still available.

Doug's phone number is the one on the ebay advert.
As to the What? That was my mistake and I have edited the above. My original post was a slight Faux Pas. I should stick to the Idiots thread after a few beers.

This FF looks fantastic in Rosso red. History is excellent and I wonder why no one has put their hand up. How much do you think he will take? My new bestie the Knowledgable Man who called them a disgrace to the climate etc lit a fag and went to the bar might have something when he says "in a few short years the wreckers wont want them, including your agricultural SP. Sell now! Fact is even the ordinary Jensen is entirely non PC. A lot of rubbish is appearing looking for a mug with stars in his eyes. The Jensen is a dirty great polluter and as said before by the Knowledgable Man is no longer (if ever) a vehicle young lads had wet dreams over. A USA article of cars that will lose great value in next 5 years sited most with thumping great engines, very attractive and also ....gasp! the Etype 140.(?) We are living out a coming classic car catastrophy.......rather like the oil crisis when only 4 cylinder cars were selling but this time it is not shortage of fuel. In my local car club I was surprised to see recently on a run of 28 classics and modern cars (we are aging) at least 4 members had recently sold their "classic" and purchased MGB's in restored form. There was no deliberate action/movement by these members together, just a thought that time perhaps has come for change. The Shadows Deepen. Hug your dog. Or your wife's sister. Kenny38

Not sure it has sold...yet. Encouraging to know that at least 6 punters were prepared to bid over £70k. The latest auction for 275 still has a few hours to go and hasn't made £50k yet so there is some choice out there.
