Six Pack - 131 4688

Post by Coverte »

This car presents quite well in so far as one can tell from website sales images, although a little high at the front end - at least drivers seat shows some wear without any attempt to hide it:
https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C952826
and
https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/je ... 972/508190

I note is has a JOC badge on the grill, from which I assume a member former car.

Does anyone know anything about this cars past restoration / maintenance history?

Thanks,
Mark

Haha - I never got to view that far as my wife and supper were both calling

- I increasingly get the impression the current breed of classic dealers know increasingly little of their stock true provenance ............

Most of the (inc. mine) six packs were removed back in the day as fuel prices shot up and the 6 pack was a real problem and needed a specialist or more talented mechanic than usual to make it work. Probably the dealers do know about absence but it might be a put off so best let the pics work. The name SP is the value really as one can always find a six pack and stay on the center carb......but there's no fun in that. Strange but a local restorer did an SP up to concours but the buyer didn't want a 6 pack.......he just wanted an SP?? Price sold at $130K AU so around 70K pounds. No profit to part time restorer as he told me when taking into account hours worked. Some very good cars in Australia, hardly any rust nowadays and in most cases in condition 1. Just like me....I think...well perhaps not 1. Kenny38
