'Runner Up Prize' for local car @ Bristol Show

Post by Pymmie »

Congratulations to Mark Rivron and his lovely Mk2 Interceptor

Bagged 2nd Prize in the Sports & Convertible section @ Bristol over the weekend.

Quite an achievement for his first show and 200 miles to get there.

More photos are available on the 'Events' section

(That's not Mark in the photo! It's Tony Marshall who sold it in 1971....)

That's not fair, he only got second place because he had some original Jensen factory memorabilia sitting in the driver's seat...

Well it had been 41 years since he sat in that seat, so it had to be done. It has also been almost 42 years since CEA1J has been at a show, took to it well though (didn't dribble or anything).
Next time I'll take the cleaning a bit more seriously
Thanks to all involved.

Probably would have got first place if it had some nice pin stripes down the side.

It may be old and worn, it may lack the efficiency of its modern day counterpart. However it is a thing of great beauty that should be cherished and admired.

The Interceptor's not bad either.
