Essen.

Post by Alan Smith1 »

I have just received some more details of the Essen show from Klaus Pape.
The show covers more than 120,000 sq.meters.
Has more than 1,000 exhibitors.
Has more than 2,000 cars for sale.
Has more than 300 spare parts & restoration companies.
Has more than 200 clubs displaying.
Of course one of those clubs is the Jensen Owners' Club and we will be in Hall G (Galeria) stand 203. We will have five different types of Jensen on show plus Regalia and of course our legendary hospitality. Transport to the show in Essen, Germany doesn't have to be expensive with many tour companies offering transport and accomodation deals. But the JOC can probably do better, so at this late stage contact one of the people going which is Zac, Tony Davies, Keith Lee, Keith Andrews, Peter Wallis, John Davis, Tony Marshall and myself. Those are the ones I know about, so why not join us for the best, biggest indoor Classic Car Show in the world?
Cheerio for now, Alan.

I'll be coming of course but no need to give me a lift!
As the hotel I stayed at last year was absolutely horrible, may I ask if you could recommend yours?

Patric, don't go to the hotel direct, they will say they are full because Klaus has reserved a lot of rooms. Two people have cancelled in the last day or so, so I suggest you call Klaus ASAP.

See you there!

Glad youv'e made it Patric. On the stand we have an SP, a Jensen-Healey & a GT from Germany and a 541 and a C-V8 from England. Those of us travelling by car will be away for a week so sorry if nobody is at home for callers, phone callers or Emailers.
Cheerio for now, Alan.

For pictures of almost every car at this year's Essen fair go to http://www.kukuk.com
The site is in german but just click on the Essen Motorshow logo and you'll be fine. The JOC stand is featured on page two.

Was great seeing you all again and meeting some new faces!
