Re: 440 engine and gearbox split apart with a siezed engine
Hmm - not an easy situation. What you might also consider is to disassemble the engine in situ and start/try to unseize it. Means you pull the heads (which will also reduce the weight far by more than 100 pounds incl intake etc and has to be done anyway). Than you can see how desperately corroded th...

valve spring retainer warped
Hi all, i am just in the process to replace my 40+ yrs old valve stem seals. Now i have an idea how "petrified rubber" could look like. Genrally the job went smootly but during final inspection - when measuring the installed spring height- i noticed that one inlet valve retainer was about ...

Hi all, as we are a quite global community here the following info might be relevant (borrowed out of www  ) rgds Thomas American fuel vs European fuel – Fuel quality on both sides of the Atlantic explained “Fuel in the US is really bad compared to Europe and the rest of the world” – is a very...

Re: Any trace of a LHD FF?
Hi Andrzej,
i am really impressed how deep you dived into the Jensen world and specifically into this subject.
Meanwhile i GUESS that the statement of a LHD FF was just false (most probably not intentionally but caused by faded memory of the ex-dealer).

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017
On ferry from Travemünde to Helsinki I coudn't help smiling when I heard some truckdrivers talking about "waybeer" - they obviously liked than a lot more than "waybills" :D Hi Stig, i guess the truck drivers would have been tempted by our "Fahrbier" as well. :D rgds Th...

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017
It is looking horribly as if we will be travelling by modern car rather than in the Jensen. In spite of my increasingly frantic efforts to have it ready in time, as of this evening I have still got at least two days of wiring to do, plus dropping the engine back in. I was confident of getting ready...

Any trace of N.C. Rhoden?
Due to the hint of Phil regarding the Gentleman's express page i read a post there from N.C.Rhoden: http://www.theymightberacing.com/Literature/BookArticle.aspx?ArticleID=9 The same NC Rhoden is most probably the first owner of my 1974 NADA Int MkIII as his name is handwritten on my owners manual. Re: Best manifold and carb
Hi Rocky,
yes - you are right, the Weiand 8009 has the square bore bolt pattern only.
Most of the Edelbrock intakes i know have both bolt patterns (spread bore as well as square bore).
BTW anyone selling an Edelbrock CH-4B ?

if i look to the 5 o' clock spoke i also have the impression that we are facing "home made swiss cheese" here.
Holes seem to be not properly aligned (left/right) in the spoke.
