Thanks Paul for the paint info, I only had a tiny bottle of touch up that had become very precious!

It's yucky plastic alright! My Christmas list is getting longer by the hour! The colour is aparantly Mercedes Almondine red, I have the paint code but I can't seem to find it listed. I have not given up yet. It does change shade a bit in bright sunshine, more kind of candy apple than maroon. I'm afr...

I can see I won't get away with anything on this forum! The paint on the house only looks wet because it rained in morning Mike, honest. Thanks for all the compliments, I really like the colour combo, the car too. I thought long and hard about the reg choice too Stephen, I had to wait for the log bo...

I don't think you're being picky at all Brendan, it's good to know. I did wonder if it should have them, I will have to adjust the doors to fit them though. They were rubbing at the bottom edge when I got the car and adjusting them without the right tools was not easy.

jack

Hi Zac, thanks for the reply. It is actually only the handle of a bottle jack i am using to wind down the spare wheel. I know I will be caught out if i drive around without a way of getting the spare! The car came with it's original Bevelift jack and wheel brace but not the bag to store them in. I w...

Thanks Brendon, I won't pester anyone for a tool kit then! Just one thing, was the adaptor for letting down the spare wheel part of the tool kit or part of the jack and brace set? It seems like an essential prt that should have stayed with the car.

Hello from a new member

Hello everyone, I'm Mark, new to Jensens and to forums so be ready for all the daft questions! My car is a 1973 J series MK111, I bought it through the very helpful Andy Brooks at Richard Appleyards. It is actually in the ads at the back of the latest JOC magazine, I have had it for about six weeks ...
