Avantgarde

Avantgarde cars have a rather special looking SP for sale, though no price quoted. Also a Mk1 which I think has appeared on these pages before but that I thought had been sold recently. They also have a couple on their recently sold pages including the MkIII that was up for £43k. Glad to see they ar...

Re: Mk III Interceptor £34,950

This car sold at auction last year for less than £20k and went up for £40k pretty shortly afterwards at a dealer. It had a restoration some time ago. I have no idea what has been done to it post the auction, so am in no way seeking to make a sideways comment on the increased price. I too hired the G...

Re: 1977 Int Conv at Silverstone Auction

I think this is the car that was at the London Classic car show and was for sale at Graeme Hunt. Not that that sheds any light on your query - just an observation.

Re: The last Interceptor III S4's...Where are they?

I have a 1976 mk3 s4 that I acquired last October. Looking at the records supplied by Martin Robey there were a few warranty claims in the first year. However, I can't comment on how they are long term as it had a full factory rebuild in 1990-1. I would be interested to know how many were made and ...

Re: Mk III Int on Car & Classic

Been on the market 9 months I think. Known as 'King Tut' - seemed top money to me then, but now seems quite reasonable, such is the market. Think previously owned by JOC member.

Re: Fitting a modern radio under a seat

After some time searching for a retro head unit, I settled on a Blaupukt Toronto to replace a rather flashy Sony unit. Twin controls match symmetry of car dials and it doesn't shout 'modern' like some. Has the added advantage of Bluetooth phone connection and iphone connectivity. Also only £130 from...
