Hello everybody, My father in law owns an english Austin taxi, FX4D model,2.5 L, with an automatic gearbox, and that is the problem. This gearbox is out of order and we didn't find the technical manual about it. The workshop manual owned by my father in law only talks about the manual gearbox model....

Very good idea. This "Amicale Spitfire Club" has a such register. It's very secure to own it when you have a long way to run.

Hi Han,

Paul Boulton whill probably answer to your question better than I. The only thing I can say that the gearbox fitted on the 21 models of 541S fitted with a manual gearbox is a Moss (the same fitted on Jaguar XK120 I think).
