Re: Chatting with Chat GTP about the C-V8

And on the Jensen brothers, just an excerpt. Oh dear  One of the most significant achievements of the Jensen brothers was the creation of the Jensen Interceptor. Introduced in 1966, the Interceptor was a luxury grand tourer that epitomized elegance and performance. It was available in various...

Re: Chatting with Chat GTP about the C-V8

:D I was wondering from where it got some of the very strange info on the car, so I asked again about the handling, this time asking for sources, resulting in a very different and somewhat better response. I guess it's not a bad basis if you were to write a text, but it's a bit worrying how many fal...

Re: Chatting with Chat GTP about the C-V8

And finally, which car is the most beautiful: the Lamborghini Miura, the Jaguar E-Type, or the Jensen C-V8? Beauty is subjective, and opinions may vary depending on individual preferences. However, all three cars are widely regarded as classic automotive icons, each with its own unique design appea...

Re: 'Residual Vehicles'

Edit: in the UK it seems to be the HCVA, but the members are from the trade and industry. None of the classics car clubs are members. No, it's the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs Limited, the JOC is listed as a member: https://www.fbhvc.co.uk/member-clubs In Germany it's the ADAC? http...

Looking forward to having you there. We can deduct the hotel from the registration. Szymon- why does that sound familiar to ...

Re: Jensen Club of Switzerland: International 2024

Sounds like you may have come up the Umbrail Pass from the Swiss side- quite steep and with tight turns. The other options are from Tyrol or from Italy. It's not still open from which side we head up the Stelvio, all three sides are possible (although the Tyrol side would involve a bit more driving)...

Re: Jensen Club of Switzerland: International 2024

Excellent! Adam will be one of the Stelvio candidates I imagine. Maybe we will also have to plan in an additional (optional) tour come to think of it, either very early in the morning or a midnight tour, when the roads are empty (except for the wildlife) :D For those with wooden/bakelite steering wh...

Re: 'Residual Vehicles'

I too tried to look up from where this was coming from, and didn't find anything. On the representation of our interests, which he mentions. Our club is a member of the SHVF, the Swiss Historic Vehicle Federation, the Swiss umbrella organisation for classic car clubs, who are very involved lobbying ...

Hi Felix, Sue and I would like to join you if possible. Regards John We'd very much look forward to that, John. Re: Viperceptor at Historics Auction RUF 340M

It's an interesting and worthwhile design excercise, and it's impressive that someone built it, but for me it makes more sense for it to be a one off rather than one of many. It's still an old car, even with the modifications. I'd maybe change the mirrors to those weird ones with the cameras :D
