With buyers' premium that probably around £150K. Very optimistic!
An authority on values and experienced buyer at car auctions commented here a month or two ago (before he resigned) that few Jensens were currently worth more than £100K and none worth the £200K mentioned for this one.

Re: Jensen Factory photos 1989
The trimmer looks like Eric. I had recently bought the P66 at that time and they were making it roadworthy before I took delivery.

Re: Private party ?
This is way off topic and I am not making any sort of political or personal point, but maybe one of those on here with personal experience can explain. There is a shortage of plumbers, so they increase their rates through the roof and people have to pay. There is a shortage of roofers, so they charg...

Re: Private party ?
My local BP garage near Olney has been like that for three years - no diesel 10% of the time. Maybe there were driver shortages back then?

Re: FF 127/293 at Bonhams auction
Maybe my eyesight but it looks to ride very high at the back. With the towing grommets suggests perhaps a rear spring modification. But superb condition everywhere. Could set a record price for an FF?

Re: Private party ?
I was interested to read the range of responses from committee members above! I also remember the very same problem about the BBQ at that venue maybe fifteen years ago when my brother and his wife arrived on the Sunday and were not able to lunch with us. This all relates nicely to the point David Da...

Re: JOC Magazine
What a shame that the club has lost such a great asset - an active member who has done so much to promote Jensen cars. The research work he did had never been attempted before and he contributed a great deal to this forum, the magazine and other publications, all of which helped to promote Jensens. ...

Re: FF ford Capri at Anglia Auction
I can admire the engineering that went into creating the car, but I do wonder why the owner didn't just buy a Jensen FF instead - cheaper, faster, nicer, less hassle ....

Re: The disappeared
The moment I clicked the button I thought "Richard Calver's site will tell me that". Sure enough, Interceptors outnumber Healeys by about 2:1, but that's not reflected in the number of cars we see. So what would entice Healey owners out?

I do understand your point David about the International Weekend and you are right that some members will never find much interest in a car par at a conference centre. I share your views. On the other hand, my wife still refers to the "Jensen Interceptor Club" because those cars dominate, ...

Re: Classic cars on the road
Some interesting cars there Colin. The Standard Vanguard is a Six - my father had one in the same colours, with overdrive. Looks like a Morgan coupe which I've always liked. And the styling changes on that Healey are very well done.

Re: Name that car
I think it was not uncommon for older quality cars to receive new bodies to make them look more modern. I heard of a Bentley (a Cricklewood - proper Bentley!) receiving a Jensen body in the late 1930s, though I've never managed to get a copy of the photograph I was shown by the owner. The Bentley su...

I see to recall the Duke of Westminster saying something similar - never sell property freehold, sell it leasehold. That way your descendants will still own it.

Re: Name that car
Well, I can only guess at the connection, but there is a small Riley badge at the top of the garage so they probably supplied your RME new. I assume all the people in the picture are employees or family .. beyond that I have no idea! But I have a question for you David - you've not mentioned the sev...
