Wise words indeed and taken on board.
Not looking for a rebuild or project more a light tinker and polish, budget £20k and everything crossed for luck

Shaun thanks for your thoughts, it was the headliner that was putting me off the most!
Old Rek would be to easy wouldn't it.
To be honest I thought I was clear and set on a mk3 with black interior but as the months are going on I'm starting to worry

Small world Orton is minutes away. Thanks for the welcome and I agree with your thoughts concerning finishing the garage that said I wouldn't let it get in the way of the right car. There is a MK 1 on eBay being sold by a chap in Ipswich who sounds very genuine and has done a lot of work on the car ...
