Do you remember if Mr. Setright had a favourable attitude towards Jensen cars? He obviously liked Bristols a lot. I guess the period V8 Bristols are the "closest relatives" one can find to the '60s and early '70s V8 Jensens, even though the Bristols were more expensive and probably more &q...

Wrapped please. I think this Beaufort is a development of the 412 released around 1975, which I believe was styled by Zagato; and probably will not go down in history as the most successful creation of that design house. :) LJK Setright used to praise Bristols (I don't know if he ever wrote about Je...

I allways have liked the understatement of the 411s, and tried at one stage to get hold of a lhd one, without luck; I guess these must be as rare as lhd C-V8s.

Correction to my own previous posting: It was FF no. 045 which originally belonged to the Viscount Wimborn (Wymborne?).

Here is one potential unit, which also looks like it would fit with an Interceptor interior: http://www.mybecker.com/beckerCms/www_r ... 03Home.jsp

The FF with chassis number 1039 was owned by my brother for a while in the late 70's. According to its original green loggbook, the first owner of the car was the Viscount Wimborn (spelling?), with the plates SUM 1. This car is now in the US. Not sure if a Viscount qualifies for the list, but it sou...

King Hussein, of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who died about 10 years ago, had a white Interceptor convertible, which was sold some years ago.

Surely restorations done to an exceptional high technical and cosmetical standard, such as the Interceptors by K&D, mainly give a lot of positive exposure to the Jensen marque? If the Cropredy Bridge Interceptor can improve the suspension, brakes and handling, and provide a more modern drivetrai...

The Sedanca seems to have a one-off treatment around the headlights; with a MKI / MKII headlight arrangement, but without the chrome surrounds, and what looks like a slightly different shape of the curved slanted opening. And regarding the CV8 convertible, is it definitely a one-off only? The photo ...

No, fair enough, if it means pushing the centre of gravity backwards this would perhaps not be so good for handling, but saving perhaps 10% of the cars total weight obviously would be an overall improvement.

According to the "Independant Rear Suspention" thread below, there DOES seem to be a new Interceptor in the pipeline. If the mentioned 6 litre engine is an aluminium type, there should be potential for considerable weight savings compared to our cast iron lumps. Anyone know? It would be gr...

A Jensen Owners Club trip to this north western corner of continental Europe would be wished very welcome. The UK Jaguar Owners Club has come over twice I believe, (with enjoyable and social drives according to one of the drivers I spoke with). As Ole mentions there are toll booths around most citie...

I would if I could. Most of the recent weekends have been spent in the garage trying to complete the rewiring of the engine bay and parts of the dashboard. The dash is reinstalled (looks good) and the engine bay completed, have only got some small items left to connect (horns and front lights) befor...
