Oil sender conundrum
Over the years the Oil gauge in my Interceptor has always appeared to read a little low - not catastrophically but below 50 (it's a low mileage engine built by Hauser Racing). At one stage I had it checked and was told the pressure was indeed higher than indicated, right where it should be. That lef...

Re: Interceptor TV programme tonight (UK)
Chris leafing thru the owners manual yesterday by chance i noticed mention of the "Touring pack" ... basically tools/parts you could "buy" for your trip to the continent - and if returned unused, get a refund. cheers Julian

Re: 17in wheels
So much written and so little answered .... :) Like Colin I've had the 17in rims for over a decade without issue. Maybe the ride is a little harder but frankly I've forgotten (I do understand the lower profile tires have to have a stiffer sidewall) what the ride was like. Given it's a convertible an...

Re: MK 2 + a Few Mods
Better brakes really require bigger rims to fit them, tho obviously you can play with pads on the standard brakes. I was a relatively early purchaser of the big brake conversion Hi Spec developed (back in the late 2000's) using the 17in lookalike rims. 6 pot calipers, bigger vented disks, EBC ? pads...

Dino from memory the sun visors are different sizes to the saloons. The mountings are different as you’ve found out Don’t know where the soft top handle comes from. The console light has a switch on/off/door activated I’ve seen pics with plates in different places. Wether market specific or the work...

Re: Electric Gordon Keeble.
I've had a good hour hooning around in a Tesla Plaid in the USA (until we flattened the battery). Other-worldly speed, under 2 sec to 60 mph with a boot and seating for 5 but would I buy one ? Nah. It was effectively an appliance, the silly fighter plane steering wheel fine on the freeway but hopele...

Jensen & the Cannonball run
Hi you may have seen the recent documentary (Haggerty) on the black Countach from the original (real) Cannonball run in the late 70's. It's a great yarn. In some of the supporting video from the time a red? Interceptor is seen and I gather it participated in at least one running of the "Cannonb...

Re: Jensen Factory photos 1989
The bare metal convertible could be mine. The dates line up, it had the S4 metal spoiler and the pictures look very similar to the pile that came with the car. Very cool, Julian. I'll try to get the factory pictures scanned, but that may take a while as the album is now with the new owner of one of...

Thread creep ....
What about late cars where there are no records ?
And mods that were made by later Jensen incarnations such as the Jensen Car Co. for an example ?
The work was done by Jensen, they were options and improvements Jensen actively promoted ...
