In terms of "corrosion remover" i made some quite good experiences with a mixture of acetone and automatic transmission fluid (about 50/50). I could free up a seized engine which was improperly stored for years. Maybe this stuff will work here as well. Costs are close to nothing - so it mi...

Hi Per, interesting situation. Designwise the direction of the helical gear of the distributor/oil pump drive will push the camshaft backwards (in direction to the tranny). This force is countered by the camshaft sprocket making contact with the front surface of the block. So i guess you either have...

on the other hand it looks like the photographer of the new auctioneer does not want to create a rose-tinted view of the car - even if pics from underneath are missing. Definitely a major project ...
