Today I saw a couple of 60'ies 4 door yanks, a superb 3.0CSi in Fjord blue metallic (the best colour imho) going too fast for me to get my camera out (or I'm to slow  ). And my own XJ-S is of course out and about every day.

Nice to see it on the road. Why do I see more Bristols on the road than Jensens? Since I started this thread no Jensens seen Because Bristol owners use them and we don't use our Jensens? Jensens are rare here, but to my knowledge the only ones to be used regularly over the past few years are Johan'...

i think itrs a terrific looking car, BUT can,t help feeling that 150k and using an old car as the donor is a bit rough, as we all know the Interceptor has to have been the most rusty car known to man and thats what your new body is going to be sitting on, just can,t see how the platform/inner fende...

Both the name of the company, location and general behaviour makes me think it is the same guy I met in about '81. He had for sale a '71 Int which looked really immaculate, supposedly it had been stored for a couple of years but everything in perfect order. He wouldn't give me a demonstration run fa...

There was an FF V8 Triumph estate advertised for sale a while back. Mike That reminds me of an occation that would have helped a lot! I was going up a very steep and slippery (close to polished ice) road in the 2000 when I realised I shouldn't have. Cars parked on both sides all the way, and about ...

OK, here goes. I have replaced the sparks with std NGK items: No change. But the LH bank looked like it had been running a bit lean while the RH bank had been a bit rich. And it sometimes pings a bit under load. The butterflies have been adjusted to spec (and anyway once open a wee bit doen't make a...

Delighted to read all the love here for the Triumph 2000/2500/2.5PI. I've had my Mk1 PI for more than a decade now and it really is a superb car and incredibly dependable, practical and upgradeable, except the heater which is utter rubbish even at its best. If you want an incredible value cheap str...

I had a Triumph 2000 Mk 1, a superb 1 owner car except for a wee bit of rust in one wheel arch. Great for those long runs up and down the country.

Re: Interceptor MK1 v MK 2 and 3

Peeps So the question is: Do Mk1's suffer from corroded rear wheel arches? Pictures of the panels are on the Monday Club site Very much so. Initial rusting is mainly condensation. The crud is from manufacture and after the rust has made holes :-( This type of join is (was) used by every"body&q...

Alfa obviously liked the collaboration idea as, in the early 80's they made the Alfa Arna/NissanCherry Europe - which combined Italian electrics and rusting with Japanese styling and suspension "resulting in an ugly car that didn’t work properly". Stephen In one Alfa book the Arna chape...

Per, I remember in the dim past with a race car i was involed with that ran a crank sensor that had a missfire. The distributor body was slightly in the wrong position relative to the rotor arm but the timing was unaffected as that was programed via the ECU. Although the engine ran the spark was ha...
