Re: Demographic age of Jensen owners
Sheesh...I just turned 50 a fortnight ago...that's the first survey I've participated in that puts me in that demographic. But I guess there's good news - I brought the Interceptor a few months after my 21st birthday, and my car is nearly as old as me and still turns heads (or maybe it's the...

Re: Manifold / header fasteners
Hi everyone, Maybe I’m looking at the problem a little differently, but I’d go to an exhaust place and get them to re-bend the pipe to give you the clearance you need. It looks like it turns a little too abruptly near the head (if I remember my Mopar Speed Secrets book, they should ideally come out ...

No red noses to match the antlers....geez Kenny, a bottle of cheap red plonk would have fixed that!
Although inappropriate these days, Merry Christmas everyone (happy holidays, seasons greetings etc for those who are offended).

Re: Interceptor Steering wheel restoration
Ian, Maybe you just need to think outside of the box and go to a reputable and/or old fashioned carpenter or woodworker. The only reason that I say this is that, here in Oz, my brother and I have been marveling about the knowledge of the carpenters who were trained in the UK and then emigrated here ...

Re: Does Anyone Have a Spare...Kennel?
You’re such a stylish chap that you brought a matching set: . The boot carpet can be placed in front of the sink area where you stand most of the time to do your washing up; . The two carpets for the rear passengers are for the comfort of your bare feet while sitting in the throne room; You get the ...

Looks lovely in dark grey - classy!
And don’t worry if the car sits too high - have patience and it will settle (or do as my spring manufacturers “give it some stick”, and it did lower another 1/2 inch!

Holy Cow - I know many people who have fitted a stainless system, but he has really gone all out. The brackets are stainless, the clamps, everything!
Seriously impressive detail.

Re: Increasing compression ratio
Hi everyone
Grant raises an excellent point - before you go out any buy anything, just be sure that your heads or block haven’t had any material taken off them which may have increased the compression ratio over the years.

Yes please - I think I saw a photo of yours a while back on the forum and they looked really nice. I remember having mine narrowed a bit to my slim build, but they are so comfortable and supportive. I'm actually wondering what the next project would be on the car, and I've always had a itching to fi...

Indeed. I can imagine those people in colder climates would say "no difference", whereas those in warmer climates would say "one helluva difference". I've attached the following link https://www.oztrack.com.au/2013-09-27-06-14-12/otr which suggests that if you can reduce the temp...

Re: Diary of a 1974 Interceptor Mk III
Hi Grant, Yup, they're Recaros - in the early 90's, my upholsterer was able to track down a pair cheaply (the foams were shot), and he was able to track down the foams separately. Fast forward a few years later, and he told me that the same basic frame was used in several cars, albeit with slightly ...

Re: Diary of a 1974 Interceptor Mk III
Oooh - nearly forgot to add the picture of the rear springs that I had remade - if you look carefully under the main spring, you can see the longer auxiliary springs under the main spring - rather than adding additional leaves or thicker springs, this was their "trick " to improve handling...

Re: Diary of a 1974 Interceptor Mk III
IMG_1047 Compressed.jpg Several of us in the club attended the Bay to Birdwood Classis run last month, and the Interceptor was running beautifully. While I was a little ho-hum initially about big brake kit with the 6 pot calipers, things really got better once I put some kilometres on the car and e...
