Lovely work as ever in Rejen. You will enjoy cruising sitting in that and smelling the fresh leather. It is important to be good to yourself every so often! Enjoy.

Re: electric cars

Interestingly in the recent Irish budget (this October) there were tax changes. Benefit in Kind charges were removed for 100% electric vehicles. Also companies can write off the full capital cost of a pure electric vehicle in the first year. Currently (no pun :D ) electric vehicle sales are relative...

Re: International Meet in Switzerland 2018

What a great story, I'm sure we could re create the experience if you want, I'll get the fire exstinguisher  . . Hilarious - At least I hope so! My first thought on seeing the picture of the bendy climb on an earlier page in this post was overheating. I hear your logic about keeping speed an...

Re: International Meet in Switzerland 2018

Hi Felix - I'd like to join this trip please. It will not be the first time to Geneva for my car (or me). My car was driven there within one month of being bought by the first owner a Leslie Dacus. While in Geneva it went on fire. Dacus managed to put out the fire with the factory supplied extinguis...

Re: How Will This Impact on Classic Cars

What about trucks and buses? Does anyone really believe they will be going electric? I don't take this 2040 date seriously, it's just a fantasy target to appease the complainers. I think trucks might. If a 40 tonne truck has to have a 3 tonne battery (and so 37 tonne load) the economics would still...

Re: How Will This Impact on Classic Cars

Batteries are improving at great speed but are set to make very rapid advancement in the coming years. The car manufacturers are now starting to drive the process forward as the see the future as electric and want to protect their brands as best possible. The problem will be if all cars are electric...

Re: engine storage advise

I suggest you drain the existing oil - not just top it up. New clean oil will not have contaminants in it and will do better. existing oil may already have been in there for decades.

Re: What boat do you have, or have had.

Kevin, it always disturbed me in your signature to see the words Yam, inflatable and wife in that sequence not knowing that a Yam inflatable was a boat and just hoping that you really had put the comma in the right place and that one of your "toys" wasn't an inflatable wife! Ditto! I firs...
