Interceptor improvements to convertible top and HVAC

Perusing some old JOC mags Circa 1991-1992 I see mention is made of a new convertible mechanism being developed in the early 90's with help from Lynx. Why ? Was it ever completed ? I believe the original was based on the Ford Mustangs. Why change? Was the plan that it sit lower when down? Also Jense...

I bought one a year or two back. Still not fitted and a bit flimsy but not a bad deal.

The car in the USA looks like VERY tidy. How about some more pictures ?

Re mirrors a number of different ones were used. And what you got are cheap compared to some ! Enjoy.

I've heard that hunters sometimes strap their "kill" to the bonnet to get it home and in Texas (I think) they mount the horns of a large "beast" on the bonnet - think Boss Hogg on Dukes of Hazard. Must have been a brave Jensen owner to first capture then "mount" this pa...

Isle of Man

Recieved an unexpected Chrissy pressy from Robeys - a few pages on my car a 75 convertible 2340-1840. i'd been told it was sent to South Africa for a year when new ... but it turns out to not have gone so far ... rather it was the Isle of Man. Initial Dist/dealer it says was "Jensen House"...

Fantastic thanks very much Dave. It was taken a year or so before my convertible ended up there so it was fascinating to see what the place was like. I wonder what happened to the "shop truck" ? Anyhow thanks again and if anyone can advise access to the "Turnaround man" video I'm...

Jensen factory video

I have heard - I think -that there was a video or film made of the Jensen factory either before they went bust or in the 80s. Is it true or not and if true how does one get to see it ? Cheers Julian

Great to hear it went so well. I endured a long slow crawl to work and back home today despite allegedly being outside the rush hour in Auckland. Even with the efi it is not particularly economic on the petrol front but even the idiot commuters show the car respect and the last part of the comute is...

Mike woolies has worked well for me first on a saloon (black) and more recently my convertible. They matched the colour to the off cut I sent them (magnolia). Re putting the hood down without power I imagine the trick would be to some how bleed the fluid. It's the fluid in the rams that make it move...

Mk 111 Grille and bumper opinions

Hi curious as to what opinions might be regarding the following; Interceptor 111 bumpers Without the over riders. Easier to clean, makes the car look cleaner more modern and maybe "wider" - or not? The Interceptor 111 grille Standard look versus the every second leaf removed as a few deale...

Hmmmm " 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds ". Mercedes claims my CLS AMG will take a little longer (4.6 sec I think) to get to 60 using an engine with a bit more 'go" in a rather more modern car with a handful of other advances to help get the power to the ground. The GM LS range of V8's are p...

1841 ! now if the numbers followed (as one might innocently expect) this would have been the car after my convertible (1840) but I gather toward the end there was a certain random factor that snuck in to the numbering system ...
