Re: Classic cars on the road

My local car club, Stourbridge Pre War Car club supported the Bridgnorth Jubilee carnival 2 weeks a go, here is the link to the slide show of a varied selection of cars driving through the town at walking pace, including three very different Jensens. The only casualty was the Austin 7, we warned the...

Re: Lightweight Interceptor - is this truth?

Good to see an engine that has supposedly had lots spent on it throwing out nice rust water, no sign of any antifreeze, and if it boils over going to the petrol station, God knows what it would be like when using the full 3000HP. He is right in saying it is the only Interceptor GTS on the planet, as...

Re: 115/3067 bought back from France

Have been meaning to do this over the past couple of years, but as I now need to replace my pads have decided to get it done and replace the brake fluid too. When I fitted the 4 pot calipers to my car, I found it difficult to bleed the system. The problem, (I have reported it in the past) is that th...

Re: Is this true?

As a Brummie born & bred, the accent does come across as making us appear to be un-intelligent, but we are far from it. Birmingham and the Black Country was, and still is the place to go to if you want anything manufactured, there are still loads of little businesses building and repairing virtu...

Re: Start of the season

From my experience of Swiss roads and your car, whichever route you take it will be spectacular and good fun.

Not jealous at all.

Enjoy yourself Felix.

Just got back from the show, I hadn't realised the club had won this, well done all who have been a part of it. Well deserved and as Raj says it is the way forward, not just for us, but for all clubs, glad to be a member of a club that is leading this. :D

Re: Ferguson Formula

I saw the FF stag a few years ago at a local show, and I know the chap, Mike Weaver, who owns the triumph 2000 estate FF. It is actually badged as a Triumph 3000 estate as it has the Stag engine. During the restoration he had a law suit against he original firm who sprayed the car, as it cost him an...

Re: who remembers ?

Most youth of today don't even know how to open the bonnet, if they did the elf & safety brigade would have a fit as there are moving bits you can entrap yourself in, chemicals that can kill you and electricity that also can kill you. 50 years ago the car hand book showed you how to adjust the t...

Re: Restoration show NEC

There's always one! The club is almost 60 years old and was originally for owners of pre war cars to help each other. Over the years post war classics have filtered in, and the we welcome everything now. We have thought of changing the name, but would mean website change logo change and we came to t...

Restoration show NEC

Read in the magazine JOC has a stand at the Restoration show, I'm looking forward to seeing what is on it and catching up with whoever is manning it. I will be on my local club stand, Stourbridge Prewar Car Club, 5-400, a few stands down and across, come over and say hello. We will have a Ford Model...

Re: Classic cars on the road

The lurid green vintage is also a candidate for Name that Car… That's a car very much in the same vein as a Jensen Interceptor or C-V8. British coachwork wrapped around an American 8 cylinder engine. It's a Railton, with characteristic small diameter wheels for the period, which give it a slightly ...

Re: Always Ask to have a Rummage

Eddie, what Grant hasn't told you, or Lara for that matter, these are not spares, but the start of another car. He intends to build a car from bits, starting with door handle , number plate lights and interior mirror. He has lost the plot a bit, because as we all know, all cars from this era start w...

Interceptor 128/4552

One of my local club members has an Interceptor, and would like to know what was the original colour and registration number.I would be grateful if somebody could look it up and let me know. Many thanks.
