The worse the car, the more plentiful the files. I had three packed envelopes full!

Re: Restomod Interceptor coming soon
Looks like they could save a lot of time and money by just buying an Aston DBS and cutting and shutting it with a Panhard PL17. I don't have a problem with people modifying things, generally, but often don't understand it. Why modify the front to look like something else you can just go and buy in t...

Re: Name That Car
I went to see Chris Lawrence for a magazine article once. Fascinating man and he and his wife were quite the most hospitable people I have even encountered in a work situation. Drove there and back (London-Welsh borders-London) in a day in my Interceptor (which he went out of his way to admire for o...

My Stag is extremely tidy but unfeasibly gutless compared to my convertible. Great contrast of two cars made at the same time. One made in a shed by craftsmen whilst in recievership, one in a factory of blokes also heading for recievership. Finished car.jpg I have always wanted a Stag, I think it i...

Re: The History of the forming of the JOC
Funnily enough, I have just received my file from Robeys thanks to Kieron and it had this letter in it and some follow up chat about forming a club between my Interceptor's first owner (Mr Bunker), the factory and Folletts.

You are right, the boot is ridiculously big. Sadly that aperture isn't big enough to really take advantage of it.Mark1Stu wrote:Already got one James (sadly not a T5, a 2.4 LPT). B*gger to reverse with the high back window and wide pillars - but has a decent size boot....which is some consolation.

I reckon I would go back to Rover P5B Coupé, the perfect car when you are ready for something a little calmer, slower, more practical and more economical than your Jensen.

Ah, been there. Here's my old one.RAP72 wrote:Piper. I always go and talk to the 2 guys who sit on the Piper stand at the NEC - and they have let me sit in one. But as I get older I think it will be come more difficult; getting out is harder.

Volvo C70 Ph 1 Coupe Like mine? Admittedly it's only a 2-litre, but it only cost me £400 from 'Dodgy' Danny Hopkins. Despite being nearly 20 years old, and not a T5, it is the best motorway car I have ever owned or even been in, but it is a bit too large a car for me. To clarify that, 4720mm long i...

Re: Name That Car
I suggested to Tony, who originally posted the photo, that the car is a Crosley Super Sports with a special body and a bigger engine (because the engine obviously needs a lot of cooling and the bonnet line is higher than a standard car) and he said I was correct. Originally built and raced in the 1...

Re: Name That Car
Posted by a member of my other club on the club Facebook page with a note saying, 'bet nobody can name the white sportscar, and it's not a kit car'. Beats me but can the combined might of the JOC Forum come up with a name? I am stumped! If I had to guess, stance and proportions wise, and overall sh...

Re: Name That Car
That's the Pinin Farina GT take on the A-H 3000.
It did win a competition but for the German/Austrian/Swiss version of Auto Year magazine I think.
