Healey Open Day

Helen Newby posted the Warwickshire County Records Office invite, to Jensen-Healey owners to attend this event, on the forum a few weeks ago. I went today, Warwick is only ten miles from where I live. I am delighted to report that the Jensen-Healey fraternity was well represented. I was able to a ha...

Re: Retro Warwick 2016

Well done to Kevin Birch who at mid day, when I had to leave, seemed to be the only Jensen or Jensen - Healey owner to have made it to this event. The club and the marque could not have been represented by anyone better in my view. His Mk.1 Interceptor was nicely prepared and Kevin had thoughtfully ...

Retro Warwick 2016

Just a simple message ....... It would be nice to see some Jensens and or Jensen Healeys at this year's event which takes place on 14th August. I visited for the first time last year and thoroughly enjoyed the unique atmosphere. However, I was disappointed not to see any Jensens or J-Hs there. The r...

Re: Carters Green factory photos.

Have just caught up with your post Peter, thank you for the update on John D'Maine. Glad to learn that you found him happily settled in Germany. The fact that your father put you in touch with John suggests that they kept in touch after John left Jensen. I am not at all surprised by this. Thanks aga...

Re: Carters Green factory photos.

Hi Paul, I don't know why but I have only just caught up with the fascinating collection of photos and anecdotes supplied to you by 'West Bromwich people'. There are two pieces that particularly caught my eye. The first one is the ninth entry on the first page of the thread, a photograph of a group ...

Re: why has my name gone blue?

Whenever I post on this forum I always have a feeling that I am jumping into the deep end of of a very deep swimming pool. I am as nervous as hell as to what kind of response I am going to get. That is not necessarily a bad thing, it reflects the respect that I have for most of the views and opinion...

Re: why has my name gone blue?

I have been following this thread with interest, as I do most of the posts on the forum (as has been said it is addictive :) ). I think that there is some danger of making those, admittedly small number, of none Jensen car owners, who would not benefit from being JOC members, feel like 'second class...

Re: Christmas Present - update to 541 website

I have enjoyed following this thread and observing the creative and detection skills of the contributors with respect to determining whether or not the Jensen 541 in the Spanish postcard is 889ANN. I don't think it is. I saved the photo to my computer and used my limited 'photo-shop' software to giv...

Re: Jensen built AH coupe sold for 639.900

Whilst in general I agree and lament with Han regards the lack of acknowledgement given to Jensen Motors Limited's involvement with the 'Big Healey' (we have both tried to rectify this situation when and where possible); in fairness, I have to point out that the text accompanying the Bonhams website...

Re: Jensen built AH coupe sold for 639.900

The subject of a lack of recognition of JMC's role in the AH100>3000 by AH enthusiasts/owners is as old as the JOC and its Forum. In fact it is one of the reasons that I joined the forum in early 1914. Yes Michael, for clarification I should have added "just as the clouds of war were gathering...

The subject of a lack of recognition of JMC's role in the AH100>300o by AH enthusiasts/owners is as old as the JOC and its Forum. In fact it is one of the reasons that I joined the forum in early 1914. Soon after the opening of the Healey Museum Nl. I was looking at its website and became irritated ...

Margot Healey

I was looking at the Healey Museum Nl. Facebook page this evening and saw an announcement that Margot Healey, Geoff's widow, died on Monday after a long illness. Some members of the JOC and this forum will know of the close involvement Geoff and his father Donald had with Jensen Motors both with the...

Lotus 907 Engine

I was searching for some information on the Britax Group1 Saloon Car championship held in the early 1970s and came across this Motorsport magazine article. The information that I was looking for is in the second piece 'Group One Starts' on this page. The first piece gives the Motorsport journalist's...
