Re: Jensen Brothers

Thanks! I took them both out for a run and had a great time, bystanders craning their necks etc . The Austin powered 541S is rock steady, with excellent straight line stability, corners well too. Once in top gear it just goes on, defiantly a long distance touring car. It is reminiscent of driving a ...

Re: FF 250 coming to auction soon

I reckon that's the nicest FF I've ever seen, and being Mk2 aswell, stunningly glorious https://joc.org.uk/smiles/big_standart/nyam2.gif I bet that makes Big Money that car..well I'd be surprised if it doesn't..beautiful https://joc.org.uk/smiles/big_standart/nyam2.gif You may have a nice steering ...

Re: Metallic Fawn colour

. The guitar community is really into cellulose for restorations of period electric guitars and new and customised ones too. Some seem to mix/make their own paint from raw materials. Luthiers do use cellulose but a guitar is much smaller than a car, (Gretsch White Falcon excepted ! :D). If you have...

Re: Metallic Fawn colour

Needless to say Chris, I would personally have it metallic fawn. The colour is luxurious, like sparkling champagne when the sun hits it. I am not sure of the black roof though, but for originality's sake maybe this should be the way to go....

Re: Metallic Fawn colour

This is the car that got me into Jensens, my dad's Interceptor MkIII, pictured in Croyden with my mum getting into it. I always loved that colour, together with the Sundym glass the car was a stunner.

Re: FF 275 for sale at Silverstone auctions FJJ 9J

I think the wrong auction was chosen. The Jensen FF is a world class classic that warrants a place on any portfolio of "rich mans toys". Perhaps Sotheby's or similar would be a better choice of auction house?

Re: A stitch in time

I was checking for play in the front suspension of an Interceptor which was mostly coming from the lower ball joint, it was so bad that when removed a flat had been worn on the balljoint and it had damaged the vertical link/stub axle, this has clearly been wearing for a long time. For a few pounds ...

Re: Jensen Factory photos 1989

I made a trip to Jensen at Kelvin way around this time too. In retrospect I was very lucky that I was allowed to wander around and look through their archives in a very friendly atmosphere, but it was good business for them too as I was buying a lot of spares from them at the time. Boss Ian Orford w...
