Re: What do you call your Jensen?
VFK is currently slumbering in secure dry professional storage.
It is rather dusty, but complete.
See the photo below: The spare tyre is in lieu of a handbrake!
The next step requires a sizeable injection of money, which may with luck happen soon.

My 541 is "VFK", after its numberplate.

Re: Aston DBSC
I was thinking more about the side profile of those balloon tyres, which dominate the view. You are of course right about how the car was dated at the time, although from our current perspective that does not matter. The Islero I pictured was just 2 years later, but looked a whole generation younger...

Re: Aston DBSC
Very attractive, individual, car. It seems slightly overtyred, and the ride height could be slightly less. The way it sits reminds me of the later Lamborghini Islero! Carrozzeria Marazzi was chosen to construct the Islero's body. This firm was chosen as it was founded by Carlo Marazzi, a former empl...

Re: Number Plates - Silver on Black
Thanks Peter.
Few people know about the rolling 40 year exemption, which now covers all mass produced Jensens.
Even fewer, including me, knew this had been rescinded!
The cutoff for any black and white / black and silver plates is therefore any car built before 1st Jan 1980

"Gone in 60 seconds"?
I hear they are bringing out a sequel called "Gone in 30 seconds" featuring Kias and Hyundais, and a British spinoff "Gone in 20 seconds" featuring top-level Range Rovers.

Re: Jensen S-Type Chassis S4
If only there was some way we could read more about these models...
Oh wait, David Davies has published "Jensen: The Surviving 3 1/2 & 4 1/4 Litre Cars" which is packed full of info and VERY readable too.

Re: Inter club International at the Three counties showground Malvern
I too thought it wasn't on in 2024, but there seem to be several websites advertising it: e.g.
Roarington.com
"Le Mans Classic 2024
15 - 16 June 2024
Le Mans, France"
They must have just incremented 2023 by one year without checking!

Re: Classic cars on the road
Interesting GB sourced, but inappropriate, number plates.
One is too new, the other too old and on modern "EU" plates.
