Re: Restoration of 128/4430
Ive been testing spraying some parts with VHT wrinkle paint lately and after it seemed that it needed some very specific application and drying techniques it really is quite easy to work with. My first problem was that it required to bake off in an oven at 93 degrees for and hour which is not a prob...

Re: My restoration project
Good luck with the restoration you've certainly started off the right way and although it looks like you don't own an interceptor any more it will soon start coming together and you will end up with a car you know is solid.
BTW you should think about bracing those door gaps.

Re: Pirelli have made some more 235/60WR15
I bought a set of tyres from Blockley tyres recently and IIRC they were £150 plus vat each they were delivered next day from new stock and I think they have a tread pattern more in keeping with the car. It is personal choice regarding changing to 17" wheels but I prefer the older look of 15&quo...

Re: Restoration of 128/4430
Had a good weekend getting lots done although deciding to give Tatton Park show a miss this year to work on the car. I had a trimmer come in and fit my new headlining as I didn't fancy doing it myself, whilst I managed to clean and refit the rear wiring harness and fit sound deadening to the rear se...

Re: Intermittant wipe kit
When I said Lucas Dealer I meant a local auto electrical distributer who have been trading from the same shop for many years.
Anyway 1 quick phone call I thought to order one and they told me they had it on the shelf for £29.23 plus VAT

I bought one off the shelf from my local Lucas dealership and I will check the price but think it was less than the one on eBay.

Re: 1971 Jensen Interceptor Sports Coupe
If its 98% complete and the body is truly solid then this would be a good buy if looking for a restoration, most people don't have the skills required to carry out the bodywork on most cars let alone the extra complexities involved with an Interceptor and this is where a considerable amount of your ...
