Re: Early Interceptor at 1951 South Bank Exhibition

I think unlikely tyres would be changed, that would be quite an expense and I imagine tyres, like many other things at the time, were not exactly plentiful to have extras lying around.
Is that another Interceptor peeking in with just the front corner showing?

Re: Cintrage ligne d'échappement Martin Robey ?

Avez-vous également acheté les « headers » de Martin Robey ? Article 52335 ?
Avez-vous placé la ligne d'échappement du bon côté ? Chacun n'a pas la même forme.

Re: Anyone going to Brooklands New Years Day?

I hope to be going (it's free for members). The event is twofold, it's a big fund raiser for the museum, all the money raised goes to improving and updating, and maintaining as well, the museum and secondly it's a day out for everyone.

Re: The Jensen Genome

Quite agree David! The perfect book has probably not yet been published. [edited] I've picked up that Genome book hundreds of times and never spotted the Interceptor spelling. Mike Me too ! Likewise with me, I had to check mine as I'd never noticed it either. Interestingly though, the first page of...

Re: New member introduction & picking of brains

Hi, In the shortish time I have been looking at Interceptors I have become aware of the "fit" of the rear tailgates. There are a few out there which, from the photos, have uneven shut lines. From you guys experience is this down to the tailgate, the rear panel, or the fact that being a ha...

Looks like badly sanded down filler, then painted over.

Re: SV8

A general observation. I have not seen any Jensen in use on the road for at least 15 years and have never seen another Jensen while driving the Jensens I have owned over the last 35 years. Not sure what to make of it, although the lack of use was surely not what was intended by the Jensen brothers ...

Re: SV8

Thought I would add this photo of a current Toyota Supra of my neighbours to compare body mouldings of the SV8. Not so dated after all ! I think the design holds up very well. Looks just as good with the roof down too. We had one join us on the Loire Rally this year. IMG_3179.JPG With such a low mi...

Re: Spring Weekend 2024 - April 5th to 7th

Takes too much time as we can only depart from home on the Tuesday morning. It is also a lot more expensive, even considering the save on petrol. Anyway, the Dartford tunnel and M25 during anytime of the day is not something I enjoy. Very boring. I would have suggested an overnight crossing. You do...

Re: Spring Weekend 2024 - April 5th to 7th

I would have thought the overnight ferry to Harwich would be a more leisurely crossing, then a gentle wander down from Harwich to Rye during the day. Admittedly you'd need to use the Dartford crossing but that wouldn't be too bad during the daytime.

Appears to be still around somewhere. Currently showing as SORN on the DVLA with the last V5C issued February 2020. More than this we cannot tell you unless someone comes forward to say they have it.

Re: Surviving Interceptors

Jim, not sure if you are aware of the one that I’ve have just seen of Facebook (Jensen Interceptor Lovers). It’s a Mk3 128/4809. Currently in Spain but was in South Africa when it had an engine fire. Looks fairly complete apart from the engine. It has what looks like a UK registration number of KLX...
