FOUND IN MY 541S

I have found a blue Quantaray camera case in the front passenger footwell of my car, possibly left by someone at the International.
Inside are spare batteries and an USB cable. Anyone recognising this, pleae give me a call and I will post it on. I shall be taking it to Bromley.

Bromley

No worries at all! Classics Monthly applied pressure to have the Healey in the resto tent, and they have space there for the 541 as well. However, if you would like to have the 541 on your stand, you are more than welcome and it was the original idea. On the other hand, you seem to have a space prob...

Bromley

Tim, I have left a message for you on this forum, your mobile and I also sent you an email, but I have not heard from you as yet. Maybe the weekend was that good? I am standing by to bring my car to Bromley as agreed with you earlier. I will bring the Healey on a trailer, together with John Barker, ...

Write-up

or in my case, Right up!

You will have to ask the Head Hitter about that, meanwhile try Classics Monthly for even more gruesome details!

It's only money....

Back in the days when I sailed dinghies, it was said that this hobby equated to standing under a cold shower while tearing up xxx£5 notes (translate from early '70s if you wish). Anybody like to contribute to a modern version for classic car restoration? I am deliberately not using the words ownersh...

Information on JOC website

While a lot of basic information would indeed be useful, I am not at all sure that the website is the place for it. Surely this is the function of the Registrars - providing, of course, that they can squeeze the gen out of owners! I speak from experience! There is also the question of who is going t...

Where are you?

Tim, do you have a stand number yet? Having seen the layout in the new edition of Classics Monthly (you know, the one with the first HEA 4K saga!) I would be interested to see where the stand is located. Jerry Thurston will host some activity in the main area, and the idea is to find something to do...

that switch ....

It isn't! But it is a wise mod to give manual control over the fans. When these cars were new, there were no overheating problems in temperate climates. And that covers most of Europe, but these cars are now 'of an age' where circulations problems can occur! Like the old human frame, but with a car ...

Different car, different approach

Han, don't forget that this is an S which has a one piece moulding from screen to rear panel. This was to accomodate the extra width and height nd improve body stiffness (Keith Anderson 'Jensen' p87!)

Bristol Area Institute of Advanced Motorists meeting June 27

I am giving a talk to the IAM Bristol area on Jensen and the JOC on Tuesday June 27th. It is an evening event, kick off at 7.30, coffee and bikkies, intro of the speaker who starts at 8pm. Duration 45mins for the speaking, 10-15 minutes for questions. They usually get around 70-100 members at these ...

The big drive

I second the above, I think a fleet of tankers would do the job nicely!

See you in the Village on Saturday afternoon!

Welcome back!

Maybe a bit soon, but I think you will soon have your car back! I am not a technical person, as Registrar I am always trying to update the club records of the histories and locations of 541 cars. So, very glad to hear from you. I would very much like to know the chassis number of the car, and maybe ...

Jensen-Healey and Friends

Lousy weather forecast meant a good chance of a soaking and a chilly one at that, and still 28 cars turned up to make it a great day. The weather relented after an early morning shower and in fact we did not need the umbrellas, coats and jerseys yes, but we stayed dry and by late afternoon it was wa...
