Check your fuel tank inlet hose

There is much written about checking your fuel hose and replacing with good quality ethanol resistant pipes but how many people check the fuel inlet pipe from filler cap to tank. I have found the same thing on almost every car Ive looked at recently, many of which are very nice cars that have been m...

Re: Wiper Spindle Repair

It is an absolutely horrible job, even with a completely stripped out engine bay it is not a job I enjoy. I have only done 1 in situ and it was the worst side which entailed removing lots of the heater assembly to gain just enough access which was a shame as all the heatshield was in really nice con...

Re: INt SP on Collecting Cars auction site

There are lessons to be learned here from anybody trying to sell any model of Jensen at auction. I find auctions usually better for cars that have problems i.e a rusty body with new shiny paintwork and not for cars that are in good condition, this SP and Zacs old FF have highlighted what can happen ...

Re: Overheating in traffic

Hi Felix..if you put a high output alternator on ie the Mitsubishi one that would really help your problem if not even cure it, plenty of amps on idle is the key to get those fans running well on idle while having other things switched on at the same time  This is good advice I have not seen ...

Re: Beautiful 1973 MKIII Interceptor in Car and Classic

It always the engine bay and underneath shots that tell the story with these cars.

It seems the paintwork didnt extend to the lower outer sill panel below the S/S cover which would make me look very close at those inner sills.

Its a shame as the drivers complaints are specific to that car and not the case with a well maintained Interceptor.

Re: Another Int 3 at Historics auction 128 4850

Based on my limited knowledge, good Interceptors (I.e. restored properly) are still selling now for strong money (circa £70k) albeit under the radar, so to speak. Some good ones are also selling too cheap….due to a combination of short selling timescale, bad advice, where sold, and presentation of ...
