Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017

We cancelled the Harwich Rotterdam ferry and the overnight in Arnhem and came over the tunnel. Monday night was near to Calais. Tonight we are in Blankenburg Eiffel. Poor car had headlights on all day and is faced with prospect of more rain overnight. i can see it rusting from the hotel room. Shame ...

Re: European meeting in Germany 2017

Switzerland should join the EU. You could call it "Schweintritt". (Combination of Schweiz and Entritt; any other words are purely incidental)

We are going to the international. Is anyone else going from this area, who might know us?

I know we have left it late. Is there still rooms in the main hotel available?

Re: Whitworth screws - where to get

Nobody has mentioned UNF and UNC. The automotive industry changed to these in 60s or so. Given time I could locate the tables for all of the thread types but I am sure someone will beat me to it.

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017

In my case more likely than polishing, would be repairing. My car at least might dismantle itself on the cobbled motorways.
I ought to explain that I was hoping to make a late decision/ entry. I want to see first how our holiday in Spain with the JH, pans out.

Today worked out really well. Lousy weather but good food and great company.

Re: build date for uk taxation purposes

the "statement of origin" from Robeys states the build date. I also got a copy of the delivery note/ warranty registration. The date on the latter was 6 months after the build date.

I got a certificate from Robey's. I thought it was the way to do it. It was expensive for what you get.

Re: European meeting in Germany 2017

Sounds great.
Not to late in the year though. There is more English weather in Germany than here in the UK, especially late in the year. On the other hand avoiding the school holidays, means cheaper and less crowded ferries.
