Re: Welding equipment advice please

Chris: you have not mentioned, whether you have an auto darkening mask. If you bought your kit 10 or 20 years ago, you may not. It changes everything!

Cars by the Lake 2nd September 2018

Please see posts in the Suffolk area section. We have attended as a club for the last 2 years with about 10 cars attending. This year they require a donation of £10 with the application, which is limited to 12 cars. We are hoping a further 8 members will come forward in the next week or so. Donation...

Helmingham Hall 5th August 2018

This year we are looking to make a club entry. Many of us in the East Anglia areas must have in previous years attended as individuals. This gives us the chance to give our spacious gazebo an outing and have a meeting/ eating point. We will need to send a £10 donation/car with the entry form. A good...

Re: Helmingham 5th August 2018

Similar tale to Cars by the lake. They also require a £10 donation in advance for each car. Again a good cause and all going to charity. Currently 4 members/cars have committed to attend with 1 maybe. It would be great, in the next week or so, if further 6+ or so could commit to paying the donation ...

Re: Cars by the Lake 2nd September

The organisers are limiting each club entry to 12 cars. They require a £10 donation in advance for each car. This is reasonable when you think about it. We know in previous years we have made a booking on expected numbers and made a donation on the day but that is no longer the case. I think in prev...

Re: Cars by the Lake 2nd September

We got a reply from the organiser. She will contact us, when they begin taking bookings. I am not sure whether this will involve an entry fee. We do not want to over- or understate our requirement, in any case. Please could you mail Suffolk@joc.org.uk stating, whether you are interested/ likely to w...

Helmingham 5th August 2018

We got a nice enthusiastic response, which is attached because it says everything. Please email Suffolk@joc.org.uk or pm me, if you can commit to attend. We would look to get the form in by end March. You can see from the website there is a lot to see. The gardens make a nice break from cars. http:/...

Re: Jensen Meeting in Saxony - September 2017

We too wanted to thank Jens, Joerg and the other coordinators for a wonderful weekend / fortnight. The hotels, food, events were just perfect. I cannot make up my mind which was the best bit: the Saturday tour or the Sunday in Dresden. We arrived back on last Sunday, having left 2 weeks before on th...
