Stuart, There was high tension in the kitchen because preparations for the X-mas dinner so you do not want to come near. I will be glad when this X-mas chore is gone, hate it, all those awful songs on the radio all day, terrible films on the telly and the sentimentality around the whole business. Th...

Re: Keeping Busy Whilst Self Isolating
That looks and sounds like a very nice car. Excellent choice!! The 340 is not as bad as its reputation suggests. They are roomy fairly comfortable and if it is the Renault engined one with it variomatic gearbox rather quirky but very tunable (same basic engines as in the Alpine Renault A110 and Rena...

Re: Electric v Petrol/Diesel inc. Classic - Great Video
We had a bit of trouble with our 2009 Subaru Outback. Rather than buy a new or a newer model I was looking into buying an older Subaru from the 80s- so I wanted to know what experience our Subaru garage have with them, and if they have any for sale. According to them, apart from one customer, they ...

Re: Low powered interior heater for the winter
You do not really need 12V apparatus. You can always get a converter 12V DC to 240V AC. They are cheap enough. However the main limit is the capacity of the charger and the wiring of the cigar lighter socket. I would imagine that about 5A (also about the max of most chargers) would be safe enough wh...

Re: Low powered interior heater for the winter
It seems to me that it will be highly unlikely that 50W will be sufficient. It is like having a head light bulb on inside all the time.
Why not have a heater connected up to the mains? There are plenty low cost ones about which have a thermostat so you can adjust to the required temperature.

Re: Keeping Busy Whilst Self Isolating
Sorry, too quick. Forgot it is for a Ford Cortina, not a Jensen. I should have noticed the difference in the dashboard straight away.

Re: Interceptor Registration Numbers
Although not legal some Dutch members have had silver on black or black on yellow number plates made in the UK and use them when abroad. Some use these (or the UK/USA original registration) for display purposes only.
