Re: Find your Jensen from Jensen Parts and Service 1984 phot

From other point of view. Such working culture and safety measures like in this album you can see today in the whole world car workshops, excluding may be Western Europe, US, Canada, Australia, may be Japan. Even in the "new EU" members. https://a-a.d-cd.net/ebe7668s-960.jpg Have you ever ...

Re: Find your Jensen from Jensen Parts and Service 1984 phot

I think it was just another living and working standard in every single area at those days. I am particularly shocked of the cars bad condition. Its Aston Martin class supercars which are somewhere between 15 and 5 years old. I cannot imagine Aston, Porsche or Bentley cars which are so out of hands ...

Re: Genius or Insane?

Well, I am not originality moron. There is replicas and replicas. Lets make things easier. Jaguar E-type with completely new made body, interior, rear suspension, trim, glasses etc. - is this still classic E-type, or replica? Is there difference between the case if new parts made by Robey in England...

Re: Genius or Insane?

Richie, I dont think it would be cheaper. There is one other nice lifehack. You probably would not register this creation in DVLA as "E-type lightweight", with matching numbers etc. But I am pretty sure, you can easily do it in any other EU country. Like Lithuania for example. And then re-...

Re: Classic cars on the road

Interestingly, what surprises me - how well-worn were people those days. With general wealth actually much lesser than today.

Are Phantoms chauffered in modern UK, or driven by owner?

Re: Genius or Insane?

Ok, I gonna buy wrecked Jag Mk II with 3.4 engine at the price , then ask somebody (M.Robey for example), to built from the scratch lightweight E-type, using existing Mk II engine block, rear suspension, and some nuts and bolts and then say - "nope, its not fake, it was Jaguar and it is Jaguar&...

Re: Genius or Insane?

Some 10+ year ago italian court decided to scrap approximately 10 such "recreated" Ferraris, despite it had a lot of original components taken from "low value" Ferraris.

Re: In the light of Jensen Interceptor recreation.

Well. You not first person who says that. There is also other pros- and contras. For me the biggest fault is price tag (150 000 usd), M39 BMW drivetrain (they dont mention, probably second hand) and plastic body. The good things - good interior (at least in black version) and it does not look as kit...
