Classic Car Show E-mail
I have received an e-mail from the TV show promoting the show and a competition to win a car. This was addressed to " Dear Jensen Owners Club". Does this mean all members have been sent the mail and how has Channel 5 obtained all our addresses? The mail was direct to my in box and not trea...

Re: West Coast of Scotland Tour anyone?
If anybody is travelling up from the south and would like a stop off on the way in Cumbria I can recommend http://www.fatlamb.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Our friends from Norway stayed there on the way to the International last year and seemed happy. The owner ha...

Re: Road fund licence
I have contacted DVLA re my 1974 car and this was their reply; It may help if I explain that a vehicle must be manufactured and/or registered in the UK prior to the 1st of January 1974 to be registered in the taxation class of 'Historic'. Upon checking the vehicle record, the vehicle mentioned in yo...

Re: SP on Ebay & restoration topic
To repaint or not -- Thanks for the input guys. I am fortunate to have a 40 year old car that is not a pile of rust , original in my mind is body panels and paint, chrome, interior, engine and gearbox etc. As you say many service items are replaced over the years through necessity, and I suppose rep...

Re: SP on Ebay
To repaint or not is the quandary I am in at the moment. My convertible is as it left the factory but now starting to bubble a little around the wheel arches and the front valance. I have the car to drive and enjoy but at the same time of course want to keep it tidy. The local paint man I have found...

Re: Series 1 interceptor in Aberdeen
There is now one less in Scotland, I have recently moved a green Mk.111 south over the border to Cumbria to keep my convertible company. However it will no doubt spend some time back over the border on tour. Maybe in May depending on the weather.

Hi Mark
I could be interested, it would make a change from heading north.

Re: If Carlsberg made Ipod docks
Hi Dave
I have some old reels, 3", 5" or 6" if that's any use.
Most are plain but one 5" is white "Scotch" and another has "BASF" on.
Free to a good home (well maybe a beer sometime!!)

Re: JOC Norway visit to UK summer 2014
Hi Chaps The details for Sunday are now fixed , we are planning to leave The Fat Lamb Ravenstonedale at 9.00ish to M6 J37 via Sedbergh. Some more members are joining there, a lay bye just off the motorway towards Kendal A684 about 9.30. From there its onto Kendal and Bowness Windermere via Crook. A ...

Re: JOC Norway visit to UK summer 2014
Hi Per and others interested. I have arranged a special parking area at the museum and also a discount on the entry fee. The museum also has links with boat trips on Windermere and steam train rides from Haverthwaite. They run a bus from the museum so cars can be left safe if anybody fancies somethi...

Re: JOC Norway visit to UK summer 2014
Hi Per Pleased to see your plans are coming together. I am trying to organise a meet up with you on the Sunday on your trip from York to the motor museum. Some Yorkshire area and Cumbrian members have shown interest. If we get a few cars interested I can probably organise a special parking area at t...

Re: West Coast of Scotland Tour anyone?
Hi Kevin I would certainly be interested, I`ve been on many tours round Scotland since the London to Cape Wrath run in 2007. The roads are usually clear if you keep away from the Honey Pots and there always seems to be plenty of places to visit. I would suggest you set a date as soon as you can befo...

Re: Interceptor cabrio conversion.
Hi Dino There are previous discussions on the forum about the horrors of the hood mechanism. Apparently it varied from car to car. I would think the hydraulics are easy enough to check. connect power and if it pumps all should be O.K. The micro switches are a different matter, they have tested the a...
