Re: Rocker selection with Jensen rocker covers
Hi Peter, I have a suspicion that you'll be fine with clearance (just to be sure, try installing the rocker covers without the gasket and using plasticine to measure the clearance), although on one of the rocker covers, there is a steel baffle which may cause some grief. There's about 8-10mm clearan...

Re: Rebuild gets underway at last.....
I thought the same as you Chris, so I went back and looked at this and I think (???) that there are some more oiling modifications that we might not be aware of that may compensate for drilling this hole larger. Back in the 90's, in the "Mopar Speed Secrets" book, they recommend increasing...

Re: Jensen F-Type bodyshell?
Love the F-Type photo on the Rejen stand. It's in good hands. Geez, if it was me, I'd be trying to restore it to planned design specifications - playing sleuth and building it would be fun, but sacrilegious I know. Tim may be suggesting that there's a lot more to the F-type story that we all know ab...

Re: Goodbye to Interceptor ownership
Hi Van, Good luck with the sale... the old saying of “Speed costs money - how fast do you want to spend?” comes to mind. Electricals are one of the absolutely worst things to spend money on a car (you spend big $$$ on a paint job, you see the result, big $$s on performance, you feel the result, big ...

Re: Another question...
Regarding drain holes, the answer is both yes and no. From the range of cars that I have seen and worked on over the years, the earlier ones had fewer drain holes than the latter ones (for example,my 74 J series has drain holes at the bottom of the doors, bottom of the sills, each end of the sills w...

Knwledge of a RHD Interceptor Convertible for sale - Germany
Hi everyone, Around 3 or 4 weeks ago, there was a RHD Interceptor Convertible for sale in Germany that was listed on eBay (blue car, but supposedly originally a magenta car). Anyone know what happened to the car and/or the listing (I must confess, I was interested), especially at the price of low 40...

Re: HELP panel beater needs pictures !
Hi Julian, I've been racking my brains for the last week regarding the spoiler, as I remembered an article with LOTS of different photos of spoilers that people have fitted on their Interceptors over the years. Alas, I couldn't find it on-line, so I think it may be in an Aussie Car Club article. How...

Re: My Mk111 Restoration - 136/8620(TBY232L)
Hi Andy, Coming together very nicely - yes, the interior takes a lot of time, but it’s worth it in the end (and I’m learning lots too - I never knew about the mirror on the passenger sun visor)! By the way, I’m surprised your tailgate springs were plated in the first place, as mine were covered in c...

Re: Door Mirrors
Hi Grant, Tim, Julian, I need to re-vacuum (chrome) plate those plastic parts on the mirror in the next year or two, as my plating is starting to ed to come off - I may look into having them scanned and 3D printed (actually, I may see if I can vacuum plate the 3D printed parts just to be sure). Now ...

Re: Door Mirrors
I remember seeing the photo on the eBay ad, and then a few days later thought “I might put in a bid just in case my S4 mirrors fail for any reason”, but too late, the auction had ended. 200 pound for the set was cheap - I think I paid over 500 pound new for both of them from the JCC in the very earl...

Re: Do you have fog/driving light fitted
Wow, interesting question. I know that mine had the fog lights fitted as a factory option, and I still use the original brackets. But then I started thinking... did I have fog lights OR driving lights when I brought the car. My guess was that here in Oz, we had driving lights. For the past few years...

Just google “flexible jubilee clip screwdriver”, very handy tool to have in your toolbox, as the flexibility works well in tight spaces.

Re: London Classic Car Show 2018
Tim,
Hear, hear.
I looked the photos from the other side of the world and thought “yup, I’d take the CV8, and the GT, or the S4”. Meh, I’d take them all”!
It’s displays like this that really put us all on the map, so to those who put it together, a big “Thank you”.
Cheers, Dino
