Re: Hello Gentlemen!!!

Proof, I think, that you never actually lose interest in a Jensen, it's just that occasionally even more monumental, more expensive problems can distract you. Temporarily. That post needs a Like button. Hear hear 8) L I K E Welcome back both of you Marc and Mike L I K E Hi Per!

Re: Hello Gentlemen!!!

I was just thinking about you earlier this week and wondering why you had lost interest in your Jensen... Good to have your input again. Never lost interest in my Jensen, I was sure despondent about life though! Getting back on track. Everybody gets hit once in a while, I got a train in the face......

Re: Hello Gentlemen!!!

How can one not miss a place like this? :) Thanks Gents. Jensen Interceptors are not an "average" vehicle, nor are the owners and followers imo. I want to try to restore my Interceptor inside and out, but truth is it will be on the backburner. My best friend in the world passed away three ...

I'm with Cannonball. I would turn the engine over by hand slowly while priming before first fire too.

Hello Gentlemen!!!

Well, a few years ago my best friend passed away, then my wife walked out. I wasn't in a good place.
I now have a separation agreement, kept all my cars except a 2006 Magnum R/T, and I am starting to get back into things.

Missed you all.

Re: Supercharged Interceptor on ebay

Never saw the car, but 650HP is easily within the grasp of a 727 transmission. The Dana 44 based rear...? I don't know...
Anybody got a link? I'm going looking, I assume Ebay UK or?

Re: 6.3 vs 7.2

Jensen 383 vs 440 is a strange comparison- the 383 Interceptors had early non-emissions compressions for the most part, the later 440s that are rated at 8.2 to 1 compression are often 7.8 - 7.9 to 1 static compression when actually torn down and measured. A mild mannered cam kept cylinder pressure u...

Re: A Bit of Time Spent on the Front of the Engine.....

No it does not, there are 4 bolts that need to be removed but it is possible to do this with the sump in place with a bit of a fiddle. The bit of sump gasket that is damaged comes in the timing cover gasket kit. Steve Ah. Did not know this. My gasket set it is for a complete rebuild so I've got a c...

Re: A Bit of Time Spent on the Front of the Engine.....

The timing cover can be removed with the pan in place, but I would remove the oil pan in this scenario if the nylon is missing off the upper gear. The nylon bits all congregate in the oil pickup tube, which should be removed and the bits shaken out. The thermostat housings on MoPar 440s are known fo...
