I've been having some problems with the electrics, but was determined to get the car out, so with help from an old school AA man, used a wire from the starter motor to the battery to get the car started and had a great drive early this morning.

Speaking with the auctioneers, they said the car's still available, but that there was a problem with the paintwork, as can be seen here:

I went to have a look at this for old time's sake before the auction. The car was still nice and straight and the bonnet wasn't as bad as the photos make out, but the nearside outer sill was rotten by the front wheel and the interior was damp.

That's my old car - my second Jensen and my first FF, which I sold around 2005. The Buick has a sticker claiming that the owner has been "saving souls for Satan since 1979", while the Twizy is doing its bit to save the world and its owner some road tax. For me, they both brighten up London's streets, especially when parked next to each other!
