In fairness to the auction house (who, as you say, peddle predominantly jumble...or should that be quality antiques?) they probably looked at something like the latest Classic Cars magazine price guide and saw a "good" Interceptor was valued at £15,000 - and on the decline from last month ...

Someone obviously thought it was worth the hammer price of £6300. Having looked at it yesterday the interior, bonnet, screen looked salvageable. The rest - sills, floors, door bottoms, tailgate, engine, tyres, exhaust etc etc etc will soak up another £20k to £30k. Let's hope the Market has picked up...

I think this was a Mk3 yes. The Mk2 version has a different part number so presumably not the same design. I don't know when the change occurred (2 vent to 4 vent??) but neither of them are available from Robey anymore.

Congrats on the sale Paul. Hopefully the new owner will eventually get it roadworthy again. For those that like to record such things, can you recall the chassis number of this one? I couldn't see it on the Mk1 survivors website.
