Re: Mk 3 Int at Bonhams
It is back at Mathewsons where it started after a couple of outings at Bonhams. At least it runs now. https://mathewsons.co.uk/auctions/auction-dates/vehicles/16699-1972-jensen-interceptor-iii IMG_6150.jpg "A good project" says the man with the video...but not one that will be financially ...

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Reserve wasn't met at £50k....so the vendor wants even more for it.

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
Very complex topic. As the cars are still registered in UK, and may just have "been on holiday" for 15 years, you may get away without paying import tax or VAT if it came back to the UK. It might depend upon how the trader treated the VAT when he imported it either under the margin scheme ...

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
I don't think your comment about the FF reg KEK 751J is correct according to DVLA and HPI.
Also as I understand it, the vendor has two Interceptors for sale... a shell and the parts car, both with V5s...which one relates 128-4722 is unclear.

Re: Interceptor and FF for sale on eBay
The FF is 263. Cat C write off in UK in June 2003. Viewing in lockdown is almost impossible at the moment. Transportation and import back into the UK might also be a challenge. It is not deterring some brave bidders however.

pus 212p at auction again
Nice car returns to the auction again. The drop in estimated price range is a sign of the times but let's hope it attracts a buyer.

Re: Half an SP...
I think the top bidder MAY be more interested in that.......but maybe not depending upon their plan for the package? Maybe you could sell him the front end for £10k!!!

....and from memory. I believe it was Andrew Cassar that sold the front half on ebay a few years ago as a Mk3. Surprised those of his friends and business colleagues who survive him didn't remember that.

Re: Half an SP...
If this shell for sale is the SP it claims to be I believe the rear bumper mounts should still be of the round tube variety?....the other half on FB is a later square tube at the front. Not genuine SP in my book...sorry. Pictures are not clear enough on this point and no doubt Richard will shoot me ...

Re: Half an SP...
Hmm...I can't see any badge fixing holes on this one. I was also trying to figure out if this car has always been blue. It seems to have been a lighter colour at some stage judging by the window apertures and under the vinyl roof? If it isn't the real deal, what happened to the real one? At least th...

Re: Half an SP...
Curious that this 131 series car which would have had a "H" series engine fitted has "J" badges on the 1/4 panels. Maybe a retro-fit...or it may not be an SP at all? Just a thought... Dead men tell no tales!
At least HPI does not list the car as written off or scrapped....yet.

Once tangerine, now blue...apart from the roof? Off the road in the UK for 40 years by the look of it.

Re: MK2 Interceptor Car and classic 63 SPY
Lovely as it is, I still can't help being irritated by the pinstripes being applied upside down and finishing abruptly halfway round the back end.
The Mk1/2 style number plate lights don't look right squeezed into a Mk 3 bumper either IMHO.
