Re: Rusting A90 (541) wheel on ebay around £30

Any idea of a date for John's statement that "JML fitted reinforced wheels to later cars." Over the years I've seen a few C-V8s with Rostyle wheels including one "E" registration which may have had them from new. So could the JML statement have meant those, or was it earlier? Mike

I mentioned that car in an article for the JOC magazine maybe ten years ago, together with other connections between Jensen and Aston Martin.

USK 657 was advertised on e-bay in March 2019 for £75,000. I've not personally seen it for 30 years!

In fact this look like Cropredy to me and Google earth seems to confirm that. On Google Earth you can even see the white Mustang trailer!

Re: Someone’s got a few Interceptor’s

Mustang Maniac seems to be written on a trailer which is movable. So it might be there, but might not. Probably worth a check before making a special trip.

Re: Rare FF Mk3 going to auction

I like your comparison to the P3 John. I see on that auction advert the RR had been "Upgraded with a GM V-8" - UPgraded from a RR V12 - I don't think so!

Like about a third of the price asked for others on the same site. But is was a free auction and it sold, so in these Covid times maybe that is what Interceptors are now worth?

Re: 1965 383 engine query

Thanks Richard, good no know my memory isn't that bad, in spite of what my wife says!

I remember at the time asking the vendor what the chassis number was, but no reply.

Re: 1965 383 engine query

There was an advert (I think in the JOC magazine) in the 1980s, for a manual Interceptor being broken for parts in Ireland. I wrote to the vendor asking about the gearbox, thinking it would be a useful spare for 116.3328 that I owned at the time, but I never received a reply. So, it was scrapped a l...

Very nice Zephyr, looks just right for the period, except for the dreadful wheels - can't you get original steel ones any more?

1932 Star McEvoy Special for sale again

This car appeared at the JOC International about ten years ago and certainly created an impression! 6 cylinders, supercharged, Jensen body, excellent condition. What is not to love about his car? https://www.prewarcar.com/306044-this-unique-zoller-supercharged-car-has-a-fascinating-and-well-document...

Re: Jensen P66 prototype

I owned this car for 25 years so, as you might expect, was very keen to get hold of the model. I must say everyone concerned has done an excellent job and it is superb. Some of the subtle lines like the slightly flat front to the bonnet have been captured to perfection. And, as Keith says, well done...

Re: Interceptor bodyshell/chassis built from scratch

My understanding is that the factory shaped the rear end to fit the tailgate, rather than the other way round. Certainly that is what JP&S did 35 years ago when replacing a rotten tailgate on my Interceptor with a good secondhand one.
