I sorted all the issues I thought it needed, then took it to my local garage(who deal 90% in classics luckily) for an inspection and subsequent MOT. What possible reason can there be that these vehicles that never venture onto a public road need insurance?

Whatever happened to Bio diesel? I used to use it all the time until it became popular, then they increased the price to over the cost of normal diesel and it disappeared.

Apparently, black and silver plates are not picked up on those lovely covert car park cameras, so buy and drive a historic vehicle!. It makes more economical sense to keep a car for a lifetime than getting a new one every 3 years that is using vast amount of energy and natural recources just to make...

Buy on condition rather than the model, a structurally good Mk1 will always be better than a rough Mk2. Most of the issues with the early cars will have been sorted by now anyway.
